Welcome to the official website of the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association - CCSA. The CCSA is the governing body of collegiate fastpitch softball in Canada and is responsible for the promotion, support and development of the sport.
Experienced fastpitch softball athletes have numerous opportunities to stay in Canada and play in Canada and every year more Canadian colleges and universities are supporting highly competitive fastpitch softball programs. Ontario's Humber College added softball to their varsity athletic program in 2011 and found immediate success playing in the OCAA. Mount Royal University (Calgary) has restarted their program and played an exhibition schedule in the WCSA for the 2013. With the addition of Humber and Mount Royal there were 24 collegiate teams playing in the CCSA system in 2013. The 2013 CCSA National Championships were hosted by the Western University Oct 11 - 14 and saw the Western Mustangs (OIWFA) repeat as national champions while the Ottawa Gee-Gees (OIWFA) won silver and the St. Clair Saints (OCAA) bronze. With 2014 upon us the CCSA is looking forward to a new season with continued growth. Briercrest College (Saskatchewan - WCSA) and Fanshawe College (London, Ont. - OCAA) have committed to add softball to their varsity athletic programs for the 2014 season. If your plans are to play collegiate softball we encourage you to look very carefully at the opportunities you have to do so in Canada.
