Welcome to the official website of the Canadian Collegiate Softball Association - CCSA. The CCSA is the governing body of collegiate fastpitch softball in Canada and is responsible for the promotion, support and development of the sport.
Experienced fastpitch softball athletes have numerous opportunities to stay in Canada and play in Canada and every year more Canadian colleges and universities are supporting highly competitive fastpitch softball programs. 2014 saw the addition of three teams to the CCSA system. Briercrest College (Saskatchewan - WCSA) and Fanshawe College (London, Ont. - OCAA) added women's softball to their varsity athletic programs and found immediate success playing in their leagues. The University of Alberta played an exhibition schedule in the WCSA with plans to formally join the league in 2015. With the addition of Briercrest, Fanshawe and the U of Alberta there were 27 collegiate teams playing in the CCSA system this year. The 2015 CCSA National Championships were hosted by Durham College, October 9 - 11 and saw the St. Clair Saints (OCAA) win their first national title while the Western Mustangs (OIWFA) won silver and the University of Saskatchewan (WCSA) bronze. So if your plans are to play collegiate softball we encourage you to look very carefully at the opportunities you have to do so in Canada.
